About Us

Our Mission
At Clark & Jackson County CISM, our mission is to provide immediate and evidence-based psychological support to individuals and organizations affected by critical incidents. We are committed to reducing the emotional impact of traumatic events through structured intervention, education, and long-term resilience-building strategies.

Our Vision
We envision a world where no one faces the psychological aftermath of trauma alone. Through proactive training, crisis intervention, and ongoing support, we aim to create resilient individuals, stronger communities, and healthier workplaces.

Our Approach
Our interventions are rooted in research and guided by the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) model, developed by Dr. Jeffrey T. Mitchell and Dr. George S. Everly.

Our multi-component CISM model includes:
•    Pre-incident training to strengthen resilience.
•    Critical incident stress debriefings (CISD) for trauma processing.
•    One-on-one and group crisis interventions.
•    Long-term referrals to professional mental health services.
